Let me tell you the tale of the most interesting man on the planet. Even more interesting than the Dos Equis guy. This drawing is, in fact, of a real person, someone that I know. His name is Mikey, but I always refer to him as "Sensei", because, believe it or not, this guy is a fifth degree black belt in Aikido, which is the most passive and graceful of all martial arts.
When he's not teaching Aikido in a small town of 97 people in good old Nebraska, he is the Global Chapter Leader of the Zombie Research Society.
When he's not being the Global Chapter Leader of things, he's writing books, playing parts in movies, taking part in the Local Zombie Walks for charity, etc.
And when he's not doing that... he's a maitanance man at an old folks home and just a regular redneck sort of guy.
He's so serious about his zombies that he dyes his beard red so when he has to dress up in his zombie clown costume, he doesn't have to waste time trying to put blood in his beard. He also has a zombie pin up girl tattooed on his left side, which I drew up for him.
Needless to say, as someone who appreciates others who are perfectly fine showing their true colours and interests, this guy is kind of a role model for me. And the amount of plain experience from all the things he's done in life just radiates off the guy. Whenever the members of the Dojo go out to a seminar or for sushi, I always try to car pool with him so I can have Story Time and listen to all the cool shit he's done.
So, yup. This was just a little tribute I did for him before I head off for Germany for a year. He'll definitely be one of the few people I miss.
(And I really hope he never sees this on here because I'd hate for him to read what I just said )
